DJI Spark out of stock on official DJI online store

DJI Spark out of stock! We already know that the DJI Spark 2 event that was scheduled for July 23rd has been postponed indefinitely. However, we have now learned that for some time the DJI Spark (both red and white editions) has been out of stock on DJI’s official online store. No word on whether this mini-drone will come back in stock at some point in time. The drone was launched in 2017 and has been due for replacement. Will the DJI Spark go the way of the dodo? I mean, the way of the DJI Phantom 4 Pro? I don’t know. What I do know, is that at this point many people are wondering if DJI will release any new drone in 2019 at all.

DJI Spark out of stock

We are not entirely sure when the DJI Spark was listed as out of stock on DJI’s website, but currently both the white and red editions are “out of stock.” You can leave your email address to be notified by DJI when the inventory is replenished. I have done so, but I won’t hold my breath. I did the same for the DJI Phantom 4 Pro and I have yet to hear back from DJI.

DJi’s discontinuation of the DJI Phantom 4 Pro and now the DJI Spark makes you wonder what the company’s plans are for 2019? Will they launch any new drone at all this year? The last three product releases were the DJI Osmo Pocket, the DJI Osmo Action, and the DJI RoboMaster S1. All of them unique and groundbreaking products in their own way, but they don’t fly! And, when people think about DJI, they think about drones…

With DJI’s recent commitment to implement ADS-B receivers in all new drones over 250 grams as of January 2020, it is a legitimate question whether DJI will release any new drones in 2019 at all.

What do you think? Let us know in the poll below if you think DJI will bring any new drones to the market in 2019.

Of course, you can still get the DJI Spark at Amazon, BestBuy or B&H.
